Exciting involvement happening with the Trailblazers for para-nordic athletes.
We are very fortunate to have Gary Fohr as our dedicated coach. This fall Gary will be attending a para-nordic training camp and is sure to come home with loads of resources.
Wednesday evenings Gary will be coaching and helping out with the equipment needs of our athletes.
Mike Scholte will be joining Gary to assist and inspire our para-athletes. Recreational skiers and racers are welcome!
Rental equipment and sit skis are available for use. Contact Jenny at the Trailblazer office to register and let us know what needs you may have so we can plan ahead! Jenny 444-5017
Opportunities to meet with us on the weekends or individually can also be arranged.

ParaNordic Dryland Training Camp - November 7th & 8th 2009 A Huge Success!
The Highlands Trailblazers Para-Nordic Ski Team and Highlands Nordic hosted a Para-Nordic dryland training camp on the November 7th and 8th weekend. With the guidance of National Para-Nordic Team Coach Kaspar Wirz and Cross Country Ontario Para-Nordic Development Co-coordinator Patti Kitler, fourteen Para-Nordic athletes and six coaches spent two days working together, sharing meals and socializing. Sunny skies and balmy temperatures helped to make this a memorable experience. Thank you to all of the participants and volunteers. Highlands will be hosting another Para-Nordic training camp on December 12th & 13th on snow. This camp is open to Para-Nordic skiers of all levels, coaches and guides.
