TRAILBLAZERS MASTERS SKI PROGRAM

What is it?

We are offering a Masters Cross Country Ski Program for all master skiers (age 30 and “better”) of all skill levels.

The prime focus will be improving both skate and classic technique. We will make use of video analysis of technique. Also, for those interested, training and race programs will be developed as well as race support provided.

The group race goals will focus around 3 large events: Muskoka Loppet in January, Gatineau Loppet in February and Hardwood in March.

A few of the racers might want to aim at the Ontario and Canadian Championships.

Dryland Training:
Saturdays 9:30AM - 12:30PM
STARTS: October 22nd

Winter Training:
Wednesdays 5:30PM - 7:00PM
STARTS: November 30th
ENDS: March 7th

Program Cost: $250

The Coach: Gord Salt

Gord is a level 3 cross country ski coach who has bee coaching in Ontario since 1976. His background includes high school, university and club coaching. He is a coaching course facilitator and SOD outreach provider. Gord is the recipient of he SOD Cum Laude Award (’02-’03) and SOD Coaching Award (’04-’05).
